Σε αντίθεση με τη δημοφιλή πεποίθηση, τα Emmy δεν αφορούν απλώς τη μόδα στο κόκκινο χαλί. Αφορούν επίσης τους νικητές. Και οι νικητές των βραβείων Emmy του 2024 προήλθαν από μια πραγματικά σωρευμένη λίστα υποψηφίων.
Υπήρχαν οι συνηθισμένοι υποψήφιοι που φαίνονται να κερδίζουν κάθε χρόνο, όπως το Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, καθώς και κάποιες εκπλήξεις, όπως το νέο ριάλιτι The Traitors.
